Fall Sports | Image of the Week | Week 2

September 05, 2021  •  Leave a Comment

It’s Sunday and you know what that means! It’s time to check in with each of our employees and see what sports they’ve been covering. This past week has been packed with all kinds of sports actions. This week we covered football, soccer, volleyball, golf, and tennis. At the studio, we’ve been so thrilled that this season is somewhat back to normal and it’s so good to see all of our student athletes back in action!

here’s to week two!

Mike

Mike's image of the week comes from the National Trail vs. Preble Shawnee varsity football last Friday night. The Blazers fell to Preble Shawnee in a 41- 0 loss. With this image, we really want to stress the importance of being safe while participating in middle and high school sports, in addition to recreational activities. While avoiding injuries all together might be impossible, the risk of injury significantly decreases when all necessary safety precautions are taken. We also want to take this time to thank our awesome Athletic Trainers for their hard work on and off the field for taking utmost care of our athletes! Thank you Keenan, Ashley, Sarah, Samantha, and Simone!

Megan

Megan's portrait of the week was taken at Thursday night’s varsity men’s soccer match-up between the TCN Panthers and the Shawnee Arrows! While Shawnee had goals scored by Pence and Roell, it was just short of the goals scored by North’s Isaacs (2) and Meyer (1). Although it was close game, the Arrows ultimately fell by 1 goal to the Panthers. Congratulations to both teams on their efforts during the game!

Debbie

Debbie's image of this week comes from her Friday night varsity football game where the Twin Valley South Panthers took on the Tri Village Patriots. While the Panthers were able to hold the Patriots at 20 points for the first two quarters, Tri Village slipped in a few more touchdowns during the third quarter. The fourth quarter was quite the match up. The Panthers scored their first touch down of the game! Even though the Panthers gave it their all, they fell short for a Patriot upset over the Panthers 41-6. Stayed tuned for this coming Friday where the Panthers will travel South to take on the PS Varsity Arrows!

Maddie

Maddie’s image of the week comes from the varsity girl’s soccer matchup between the Preble Shawnee Lady Arrows and the Lady Panthers from Twin Valley South. Although the rainy conditions made for a somewhat miserable evening, it didn’t stop either team from giving a 110% effort. The matchup ended in a 1-1 tie with individual goals scored by PS’ Lovely and Hundley from TVS.
